  • WB-MIR v.3 is a learnable infrared control module with an external IR transceiver and RS-485 interface. IR commands are programmed using the remote control from the household equipment or via the RS-485 interface. The device is used in automation systems for controlling air conditioners, fan coils, heat curtains, TVs, and similar equipment. It is installed inside the enclosure of the controlled device.

    The module supports Fast Modbus, enabling instant delivery of input states and button press counter values to Wiren Board controllers.

    Applications

    Configuration & Setup

    With Wiren Board Controller:

    • Enable/disable channels and set polling period via web interface
    • Control IR command recording mode
    • Play back IR commands
    • Switch input operation mode

    Without Controller:

    • Use Wiren Board Web Configurator with WB-USB485 interface converter (or similar)
    • Configure via RS-485 by writing values to Modbus registers (open, well-documented register table available online)

    Data Reading

    • With Wiren Board Controller: Output states are available in the controller's web interface and can be used in automation scenarios or transmitted to upper-level systems. Only channels enabled in polling settings are displayed in the device card.
    • Via Modbus RTU: All data is transmitted over RS-485 and can be read by any equipment/software supporting Modbus RTU: third-party controllers, HMI panels, or SCADA systems.
